Beau & Ferde, our Texas longhorn steer.

Ferde shortly after we got him (he was about 6 months old then). He was hand-raised by the daughter of our vet, Denis Spence, so he will come right up to you and loves to have his head scratched.

The latest addition to our herd, Tani. She was barely 4 months old when Heide took this shot. She arrived shortly after the first of several snows that turned our ranch into a winter wonderland. Longhorn are definitely a very tough breed of cattle.
